Toddlers and preschool room
For children 2 to 4 years old, the room houses amongst other areas:
- Messy play area
- Home corner
- Dressing up clothes
- Book space
- Arts and crafts resources
- Science facilities
| 8.00am | onwards | The children arrive and play with the various toys that are set out. They will have a circle time to discuss the day ahead and share any news they may have. |
| 10.00am | Time for a drink and a snack. The children then play on the swings and ride-ons, and pick some vegetables for lunch. | |
| 12.00am | Lunchtime. Where possible all the children sit together with some staff and enjoy their meal. | |
| 12.30pm | The morning only children go home and the others will have a quiet time in the cosy book corners. If they want to they can sleep. | |
| 1.30pm | The afternoon only children arrive. The play continues with painting and a treasure hunt in the garden. | |
| 4.30pm | Teatime. This meal is a more simple one than lunch, often consisting of soup or sandwiches followed by a selection of fruit. | |
| 6.00pm | Nursery closes. Latest time for collection. |
