This room is for children up to 2 years old, is cosy, very homely and includes a low level slide, tunnel and stairs. The children are encouraged to explore the toys and equipment which are placed at their height. Specific resources in this room include:

Art equipment
Book area
Dressing up clothes
Home corner
Sleeping area

8.00am	onwards	The children arrive to find various activities and toys out, they may have a group time such as a music circle, playing instruments and singing.
9.00am		The children play outside, weather permitting.
10.00am		Snack time including fresh and dried fruit and a drink. Some of the children will have milk and perhaps a sleep, depending on their own routine, whilst the others will continue playing or have a story time.
12.00am		Lunchtime. Where possible all of the children sit down with the staff to eat the same food as the Urchins or more of a puree if they are young.
12.30pm		The morning only children leave. Some of the remaining children will nap for a hour or more, those that don’t will go into the pre-school room or quiet room to continue playing.
1.30pm		The afternoon only children arrive and the play activities, messy play and arts start again.
4.30pm		Teatime of soup, pasta or sandwiches followed by fruit or yoghurt.
6.00pm		Nursery closes. Latest time for collection.
