Rooms

There are two main rooms, and a sleeping area:

• Baby Room (up to 2 years)
• Toddlers and pre-schoolers Room (2 to 4 year olds)
• Sleep

The nursery is divided into 3 groups within 2 rooms, according to age and development, although the groups mix together for nearly half of their day. This allows older and young siblings to spend time together and helps the older children develop an understanding of a younger child’s abilities and needs. The children love playing with their brothers and sisters and showing them off to their friends.

• The baby room has 12 spaces and is for children aged up to 2 years.
• The toddlers are aged 2 to 3 years and the preschoolers are those over 3 years.
• These groups average 12 children each and share a large room although having their own staff including a qualified teacher for the preschoolers.

We follow a varied routine which can change according to each child’s daily needs although we try to incorporate the child’s home routine as much as possible. Whenever possible the children can choose to play outside or in. Spare fleeces, macs, gloves, hats (summer and winter) and wellies are available if your child has forgotten their own. Often 2 or 3 groups participate in joint activities, or play together in the garden.
